The Producer: Founded in 2009 by Jon and Kathy Lauer, Bryn Mawr Vineyards is an estate winery situated high on the steep, wind-swept slopes of the Eola-Amity Hills in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Guided by Winemaker and Vineyard Director Rachel Rose, the estate focuses on cool-climate viticulture that harnesses the Van Duzer Corridor’s severe ocean breezes to produce wines with intense natural acidity and complex character.
The Wine: The 2024 Bryn Mawr Estate Riesling is expressive, floral, and perfumed on the nose, opening with lifted aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle, lime peel, thyme leaf, and fresh ginger. On the palate, razor-sharp, zippy acidity is balanced by a touch of residual sugar, delivering a fresh, transparent, and subtly textured mouthfeel. The wine finishes clean and crisp with lingering citrus oil, subtle herbal nuance, and a vibrant mineral lift.
