Consistent with Vine Society’s mission to provide exceptional wine experiences that truly develop our knowledge and passion for wine, we are taking a field trip to Hendersonville, NC to meet some of the nation's newest award-winning wineries. We will have lunch and spend some time with Craig and Tina Little, Owners of Stone Ashe Vineyards, and their winemaker Chris Deneisha. After lunch, we will join Tim Parks, Owner of Marked Tree Vineyard where we will get to enjoy a handcrafted chocolate and wine pairing.

Learn more about these wineries before our trip:

Stone Ashe Vineyard in Hendersonville won the top readers’ choice award for the best new winery in the United States.

“Craig and Tina Little spent years searching for American soil that would match their beloved Bordeaux region of France. They found it on 67 acres of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina, then mated grapevine clones from France with California rootstock,” USA TODAY 10Best said. “Stone Ashe has now opened their 3,100-square-foot tasting room and we can't wait to meet Tina and the team! For more on Stone Ashe Vineyard, visit stoneashevineyards.com. Our visit to Stone Ashe Vineyard will include lunch.

Marked Tree Vineyard in Flat Rock won a top-five reader's choice award for the best new winery in the United States.

“Located on the crest of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Marked Tree benefits from the cool nights and ample sun to grow outstanding grapes with award-winning results,” USA TODAY 10Best said. “Their vineyard tasting room provides charcuterie boards, local mountain trout plates, and other local delicacies to pair with their wines and mountain views. 10Best Wine Expert Ava Roxanne Stritt tells us that Marked Tree is ‘so new, the vineyard owners themselves almost always host you.’”  For more on Marked Tree Vineyard, visit markedtreevineyard.com.
