Another awesome wine choice for our value-driven Wine Exporers! This is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Jaen varietals. This is a very surprising wine, although if you have tasted port, you may  identify the hints of Touriga Nacional in this exquisite wine!

The Dão wine region was chosen due to the winemakers shared admiration for old wines and was born during a tasting of wines from the ’60s and 70’s decade, which surprised them with their elegance and freshness. The Identity and complexity of these wines are remarkable and served as an element of inspiration to create MOB wines. M.O.B. stands for the  partnership between winemakers, Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serôdio Borges

The vineyards, in a total of fifteen hectares, ten located in Seia and five composed by old vines in Gouveia, are situated in one of the colder sites of the region, in the foothills of “Serra da Estrela”, the conjunction of altitude, soils, and the grape varieties of the property play an important part in the essence of this wine.

Tasting Notes:

This Lote 3 seeks to be an ancient Dão with a modern approach. It is a wine with a beautiful soft color, it’s fresh and easy to drink as the ancient wines from this region but with a more charming aroma than it’s antecessors. In the mouth has the fruit intensity and the balance provided by modern viticulture and oenology.
