Aromas of red fruit and cassis with floral and spice hints. Rich, smooth, and vibrant. Pairs great with roasted or grilled red meat and pizza.

 

Besadien is made with a mix of Walla Walla and Horse Heaven Hills fruit. The wine was fermented with in open top fermenters with twice daily manual punch downs and manual pump overs for cap management. Finally, the wine was aged in 40% new French oak for 20 months. Besadien Cabernet Sauvignon was bottled exclusively for The Artisan Collection by John Grochau, in collaboration with our very own Florencio Navarro. John explains that the goal was to “make a wine that speaks of where the grapes are grown and the weather of the vintage…we do less in an effort to show more.”


The name ‘Besadien’ is a play on the word ‘beso,’ which means ‘kiss’ in Florencio’s native Spanish. When he found the artwork featured on the label, “Authenticity” by Christo Dagorov, heknew the name ‘Besadien’, label art and wine were a perfect match.
